Description of
Silverado Classes
Block Classes- Limited
enrollment (15-25) focused classes that are
available on a preregistration basis and subject
to teacher approval. These classes are offered
for required and elective credits. Similar in
nature to comprehensive high school courses,
they are reliant on class participation and
group projects. Regular attendance is a must.
Students may gain entry only at the
beginning of each nine (9) week session or by
transferring with equal credit from the
comprehensive high school. Each class awards
five (5) credits for completion of all
assignments.
Credit Completion
Classes- Larger (25-30)
academic classes with "open entry/open exit"
format allowing students to enroll at any time
and make up partial credits if necessary.
Courses are project-based as well as offering
some independent, text-based work. Students are
expected to complete minimum work levels
established by the teacher.
